What Is It?
What makes Medifast a popular and effective diet? Well for starters, the diet is a clinically proven program that helps people lose weight. Studies show that Medifast’s portion controlled, nutritionally balanced meals are more effective than traditional diets.

The Medifast 5& 1 plan was medically designed specifically to create a calorie deficit so that your body can turn fat into energy. Their meals help in weight loss and lean muscle maintenance.

Another thing that makes Medifast unique is that the diet and weight loss program has been recommended by more than 15,000 doctors.

Average clients lose 2-5 lbs per week. Success stories are plentiful and available to read on the Medifast official website. You’ll see plenty of before and after pictures and read about how ordinary people lost weight and became happy with Medifast.

Types Of Food
With Medifast you eat 6 meals per day which consists of 5 Medifast meals and 1 lean/green meal. The 5 Medifast meals you eat are customizable and based on what you choose during your order.
Medifast meals include lean beef, chicken, fish, oatmeal, protein bars, and hearty breakfasts.

Adrene Christian lost 92lbs! – I lost over 92 pounds in 6 months on Medifast, and it has changed my life! Before Medifast, I was desperate, depressed and on 13 pills in the morning, 11 in the afternoon and 8 at night. I had diabetes, fibromyalgia, bi-polar disorder, sjrogens disease, two heart attacks and high blood pressure all because of my weight. Thanks to Medifast, I no longer carry my medicine bag around – and I am healthy!

Brian Jones lost 42 lbs! – I started Medifast Dec 3rd, 2005, stuck to it to the tee and lost 30 pounds in the first month. I’m now in my 6th week and have lost 42 pounds and 6 inches off of my waist. I started at 292 pounds and am now at 250 pounds. The “before” and “during” pictures prove it.

I enjoyed my Medifast experience. Well thought out weight loss program. Easy, convenient, and best of all it worked for me. Wish the portions were bigger.

Placed an order online at Medifast today. The 2 weeks free is legit so I’m happy about finding the coupon. Now I just have to stay on the diet plan and hopefully see myself trim down. Fingers crossed.

The Medifast diet works pretty well. I lost weight but got bored after a month. Still I guess you can’t ask for more than losing 12 pounds or so. I do wish the food was tastier but then again how can you lose weight eating food you love. That would be the greatest diet of all time.

The Medifast diet is cool. Your run of the mill meal replacement diet. I’m guessing it’s not much different than Nutrisystem, Jenny Craig, or Zone Delivery. You pretty much order, Medifast delivers the food, you prepare it (very fast!), and then you eat.

Exercising is optional though recommended and it’d probably accelerate your weight loss. Overall, the food is decent. Not gourmet but what do you expect when you’re on a diet. If you find a diet where you love the food, definiely show me because I need to be on that weight loss program.

If I had to rate Medifast, I would give it 4 out of 5 stars. I lost 18 pounds. After a few months I gained six of it back. So that means I had a net loss of 12 pounds. Not bad I suppose.

So I’m looking to lose another 10 pounds. I’ll probably try Medifast again althought I’m giving Nutrisystem a look too especially since DiscoverDiets.com has a 3 free weeks coupon to Nutrisystem. Then again, they are offering 2 free weeks to Nutrisystem. Decisions, decisions.

I’ve lost about 35 pounds in just under 7 weeks.

I have a LONG way to go, but it’s been easy for me so far.

Got something to say?
