Venus Williams Sleeker Physique

These days Venus Williams is sporting a sleeker physique, ironically after being put out due to a wrist injury. While being off the court, this Wimbledon champ found that she didn’t have to eat as much, according to US Weekly. With just three meals a day and two snacks (raisins, prunes and nuts) she is able to maintain her new six-foot-one frame. Her formula is “carbohydrate, protein, something from the fruit and vegetable group.” Venus says, “For an athlete, it’s not necessarily good to be thinner. You have to be an ideal weight for you,” which is why she never goes on the scale and doesn’t count calories.

Williams’ workout routine is as hard core as it can get. For six days a week, she spends up to three hours on the court, plus an hour of strength training and a half hour of biking, running or pilates. It’s no wonder she’s so lean and fit. Watch out for her this month when she’s back on the courts at the French Open.

Editor’s Comments: This tennis champ has a body frame that most of us do not have. She’s able to eat unrestricted without counting calories because she has a big frame to feed and works out more than it seems humanly possible for six days out of a week. Most of us don’t have the time or the endurance to keep up with Williams’ workout regimen. Unless you’re a star athlete, I don’t think this is a realistic regimen to follow.
