Ever wonder how Pamela Anderson keeps her lean 5-foot-7 frame? Her secret is avoiding meat since she was 13 years old, according to US Weekly. At age 40 and mom of two sons (Brandon, 11 and Dylan, 10), Anderson manages to keep her shape without any fad diets or extreme workout routines.

Fruits, vegetables, nuts, beans, whole grains, seeds and soy: plant-based foods low in fat and high in complex carbs play a big part of her daily diet. Her vegan daily menu (no dairy, eggs, fish and meat) could look something like this:

Breakfast: Fruit and oatmeal
Snack: Ginger smoothie
Lunch: Salad and veggie burger
Dinner: Pasta or veggie sushi

You would think with her toned physique that she has a consistent daily workout regimen, but just chasing her boys and walking each day is what keeps her body in tip top shape.

Editor’s Comments: Going vegan is an individual choice that one has to make. Cutting out all of the foods that vegans ban would be hard for most. If it’s too extreme, try cutting out only some of the foods that vegans avoid… essentially do what works for you. Make sure you’re getting all of the nutrients you need though to stay healthy! Exercising without even trying is something we all love. Being busy with kids and walking is definitely a workout in itself!
