Elizabeth Mitchell Gained 75lbs and Lost It All

While expecting her first son, Elizabeth Mitchell gained 75 pounds and was determined to take off the weight through breast-feeding and walking. After shedding the baby weight, this LOST actress tells US Weekly she wanted to get into “hard core shape.”

Within three months, Mitchell achieved her fit size 4 physique by running up to eight miles a day, doing 200 yard lungeathons and yoga. Her toned legs can be accredited to jogging on the Hawaiian sands where Lost is filmed. Sit-ups and squats are also a part of her daily workout regimen.

The 5-foot-9 actress doesn’t go on “crazy diets,” but does cut out wheat claiming it’s “bloating.”

Editor’s Comments: Running on the beaches of Hawaii, doing sit-ups and squats will definitely streamline your figure and help pack on the muscle. I think it’s a workout regimen that’s pretty intense and would only work for the more determined “hard-core” individuals. Crazy dieting is never suggested as it’s not a long-term fix to an on-going problem. If wheat makes you feel bloated… try taking it out of your diet like Mitchell. I think the key to her success though is more in the intense workout routine.
