Today’s Diet Tips

diet tips weight loss exerciseEvery now and then we all need some new tips or to be reminded of tips we heard of but forgot. So in no particular order, here are today’s diet and exercise tips for you!

1. Remember to do something that you enjoy. Whether it’s swimming, basketball, tennis, bowling or walking on a treadmill, enjoying what you’re doing is important and helps you get in shape faster.

2. Stay On Track! It’s easy to push back or forget a workout session. Mark it on your calendar and stick to it! Pretend that it’s an important meeting you have to attend. You wouldn’t miss that would you?

3. Remembering - Remind yourself why you are doing this. Is it for a wedding? A reunion? To lose the baby weight gain? Or just to get in better shape. Visualizing and reminding yourself why you are doing this helps you stick to your schedule and lose weight.

4. Call A Friend - nothing helps than a friend that works out with you. When you don’t feel like going, they’ll be there to make you go.

5. Do the simple stuff - Going to lunch? Park your car further away so you can take a longer walk. Use the stairs instead of an elevator. Walk around when you’re on a break or on the phone. Any movement you can add will help.

6. Don’t Give Up! Don’t expect to see changes right away. Depending on your diet and exercise levels, you may see them sooner or later. It can take about 4-6 weeks before you can see any visual changes so keep at it!
